ARA (Altstoff Recycling Austria AG) and the recyclingorganisation for glass AGR form the ARA System. In cooperation with more than 200 regional disposal companies, waste management associations, and local communities all over Austria, they have established a tight network for competitive and cost-efficient collection and recovery of packaging.
The ARA System runs nationwide systems for the collection and recovery of all household and commercial packaging waste. It was founded in 1993 by Austrian trade and industry to execute the regulations of the Austrian Packaging Ordinance on their behalf and to sustain the system of a packaging eco-cycle.
