S.I. No. 282/2014 - European Union (Packaging) Regulations 2014. The purposes for which these Regulations are made include the purpose of giving effect to provisions of European Parliament and Council Directive 94/62/EC4 of 20 December 1994 on packaging and packaging waste as amended by European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/12/EC5 of 11 February 2004 and Commission Directive 2013/2/EU6 of 7 February 2013 with a view to promoting the recovery and recycling of packaging waste.http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2014/si/282/made/en/print

Offered Services
Repak is a not for profit company set up by Irish business and owned by its members.
Repak charges fees to its members in accordance with the amount and type of packaging they place on the Irish market.
These fees are used to subsidise the collection and recovery of waste packaging through registered recovery operators across Ireland.
Objective
Our objective is to deliver on behalf of our members, the best environmentally sustainable packaging recovery compliance scheme for Ireland, in accordance with the approval issued by the Minister with responsibility for the Environment in 2021.
